A typical Hungarian, or in broader sense, a Central-European drink is getting in fashion again, as a refreshing drink in summer time. There is a steadily increasing consuming group tends to drink more and more spitzer wine, and quite a lot wine producers, from small scale Légli to large scale Hungarovin, are well prepared to offer some of their wines as a proper ones for spitzer wine with the price range of 450-1200 Ft (250 Ft = 1 EURO). The progress in spitzer wine market is significant in spite of the traditional way of serving and consuming has changed a lot. The old times wine pubs and restaurants, stands alongside rivers and lakes, summers resorts buffets offering spitzer wines have disappeared and. Glass made, traditional shaped soda siphon, and shoots covered demijohn, a sort of wine container created special feeling for spitzer wine making and tasting, are no longer in practice. This is why quite a few producers is supposed to develop a special bottle serving „sparkling water” and wine together in order to let the consumers discover the adventure of mixing them, and taste it. Our expectation in the close future is replacing not only the products but many elements of it, e.g. its „instruments” and way of consumption as well.
