The competition work of the Hungarian team won a bronze statue in the final of the Bocuse d’Or in Lyon
The Hungarian team consisting of Bence Dalnoki and Patrik Nyikos achieved enormous success at the Bocuse d’Or cooking competition in Lyon: they were the first Hungarians to stand on the podium at the world finals of the most prestigious gastronomic competition.
Hungarians have already participated in the world finals several times, and Tamás Széll won the European final a few years ago, but for the first time, Hungarian chefs were among the top three teams of the Bocuse d’Or world final.
The winner was Denmark, second was Norway, and the bronze statue went to Hungary.
Since the plate task this year was to prepare a three-course children’s menu, the children’s special prize was also awarded, which went to the Japanese team!
The best plate theme was presented by France, the best meat dish went to Sweden, and the best commis award went to the Norwegian cooker!
The prize for social responsibility was won by Mexico.
