Tetra Pak won the third degree of the “Industrial Oscar Award”
Tetra Pak’s Budaörs-based plant acquired the third degree of the full range of the effective maintenance award the so-called “Industrial Oscar Award”, as the first and only Hungarian company – Révész Zoltán, the supply chain director of the Tetra Pak Csomagolóanyag Gyártó Zrt. (Tetra Pak Packaging and Manufacturing Inc.) told MTI on Tuesday.
He explained that the Budaörs-based factory in two years has reduced the number of machine downtime by nearly 40 percent, which makes machine efficiency index rose to nearly 80 percent. In addition, due to the reduction in the number of machine failures, the amount of manufacturing waste fell by 15 percent, while CO2 emissions decreased by 735 tons and the number of customer complaints also decreased by 22 percent – he added.
