The Intersnack Group acquires the British KP Snacks company
The United Biscuits (UB) sells its salty snack division, the KP Snack, which is the second largest company on the UK market. Merkler Róbert, managing director of the Intersnack Magyarország Kft. welcomed the expansion of the group.
The UB and the Intersnack signed the agreement on 5 December. The company’s acquisition will be closed in the first quarter of 2013. The Intersnack and KP Snacks will unite their experiences and will expand towards new markets in the future. KP Snacks has several old brands, which are part of the British cultural heritage. The company in the 90's, was also present on the Hungarian market, many people still remember its product the Crocky Chips.
