The 2019 payments would be raised with 600 million, compared to the original EP proposal
At the plenary session of the European Parliament (EP) voted for its position on the EU budget for 2019 according to which the MEPs would increase the 2019 payments with 600 million euros to 149.3 billion euros, compared to the original proposal of the Commission.
According to the information provided by the European Parliament, the MEPs stressed in their resolution on the budget that the EU should focus more on sustainable growth, innovation, competitiveness, security, the root causes of migration, on the combating climate change and on young people. (MTI)
