The supermarket chains seek to comply with the consumer protection rules more than the SMEs
The National Consumer Protection Authority carried out its large-scale control between the 1st of March and the 15th of December 2010. The Regional Inspectorate of NFH also participated in the action. As a result, 426 fines were imposed in a total value of 22.62 million HUF.
It was observed that the major supermarket chains are more familiar with the current legislations and they seek to comply with the consumer protection rules more. The Authority's staff have faced a less perfect knowledge in the case of small-and medium-sized enterprises – reports penzcentrum.hu.
