The agrarian chamber and Magosz considers the research of mutagenesis
The National Chamber of Agriculture (NAK) and the Hungarian Association of Hungarian Farmers and Cooperatives (Magosz) consider it necessary to conduct scientific studies and risk assessments of mutagenesis as soon as possible to avoid any adverse effects on human health and the environment -the two agrarian organizations told MTI in a joint statement on Monday.
The NAK and Magosz adopted a resolution on the decision of the Court of Justice of the European Union on mutagenesis at a joint national presidency meeting in Dunaharaszti on Monday. According to the judgment of the Court of Justice of the European Union, published on 25 July 2018, the organizations derived from mutagenesis are GMOs (genetically modified organisms). (MTI)
