The “Protection of the Environment” awards were presented
Companies and individuals with outstanding performance in the field of environmental protection were awarded on Friday at the National Environmental Meeting and Awards Gala organized by the Association of Environmental Services and Manufacturers (KSZGYSZ), KSZGYSZ told MTI on Monday.
More than 250 participants of the event were greeted in a video message by the main patron of the meeting, Csaba Kőrösi, President of the UN General Assembly, who, in addition to the importance of environmental protection, spoke about how the expansion of value creation and the reduction of the environmental footprint are not mutually exclusive.
The winners
This year, two companies shared the Enterprise category award: Corn Oil Press Kft. for the innovative utilization of organic residues, and Saint-Gobain Hungary Kft. in recognition of its activities in the field of environmentally conscious operation and social responsibility – read the announcement. Eduárd Gubó received the Youth Category Award in recognition of his applied research and innovation activities in the field of agro-environmental protection. Respray Solutions Kft. received a special award (certificate) in recognition of its innovative, environmentally conscious Respray refilling solutions. The individual category award was given to István Csepregi, an environmental lawyer, in recognition of his decades of work in the field of nature and environmental protection.
The awards were presented by the president of KSZGYSZ, Csaba Ágoston, and the patrons of the meeting, Nikoletta Keszthelyi, the deputy state secretary responsible for environmental protection, Barbara Botos, climate ambassador, and Gyula Bándi, the deputy of the Commissioner for Fundamental Rights who protects the interests of future generations. The purpose of the “Environmental Protection” Award, founded by KSZGYSZ in 2000, is to recognize the activities of outstanding environmental protection industry and service providers.
