ÁSZ: we should consider taxing digital commerce
Hungary needs to deal with the taxation of digital commerce – according to a recent analysis by the State Audit Office (ÁSZ), which highlightsthe dilemmas of digital taxation.
ÁSZ analysts point out that current tax rules allow multinational companies providing digital services to tax in the country with the most favorable tax conditions. As a result, they are almost completely exempt from corporate tax, while the State of the place of effective service loses significant tax revenue. (MTI)
