ÁSZ: the integrity of agricultural schools needs to be strengthened
The integrity of agricultural schools, ie their protection against corruption, should be strengthened, according to the State Audit Office (ÁSZ), whose audits have uncovered a series of irregularities in the financial and asset management of such institutions – Kakas Sándor, head of supervision at ÁSZ tols at a press conference in Budapest on Friday.
ÁSZ contributes to the strengthening of agricultural training through the analysis of the audit experience of 45 agricultural schools and to the effective use of public funds spent on agricultural vocational training. Due to the irregularities detected, the ÁSZ has initiated the suspension of the disbursement of the general government subsidy at one institution, and in the case of the other two it has also envisaged the initiation of the suspension of budget support.
