Asda uses 90,000 plastic bottles for car park resurfacing
Asda has utilised 90,000 plastic water bottles to resurface the car park of its Wakefield store as the grocer finds news ways to recycle.
The plastic was ground to tiny pieces and then mixed with asphalt, which sets to form the tarmac.
It added that the initiative could be used in other car parks across its store estate.
Asda said it has scrapped 6500 tonnes of plastic from own-brand products over the past year.
