Chinese companies have taken steps to buy US agricultural products
Some Chinese companies have applied for exemption from customs duties on certain agricultural products and interested in US suppliers – the Xinhua Chinese State News Agency announced on Sunday, referring to the government’s Customs Committee.
Xinhua pointed out in its report that the move was the result of a meeting of US President Donald Trump and his Chinese colleague Chin-ping last month in Osaka. Trump then agreed to suspend the imposition of a surcharge on the remaining 300 billion USD Chinese import item in order to allow the resumption of trade negotiations. (MTI)
