The Budaörs peach received EU protection
On Monday, the European Commission protected the name Budaörs peach (Budaörsi őszibarack), bringing the number of Hungarian geographical indications protected in the EU to 67. The use of geographical indications is a major economic benefit for producers, as it significantly increases the added value of the product, the Ministry of Agriculture (AM) told MTI in its statement.
The Budaörs peach has an intense aroma. It is a juicy fruit, characterized by a reddish top color, a fluffy skin, not too hard meat and a soup stock. The quality of Budaörs peaches is also due to the cultivation culture and human expertise. (MTI)
