AM Minister of State: agricultural productivity and profitability need to be increased
The performance of Hungarian agriculture has increased significantly in recent years, but there is still a significant lag in productivity and profitability – the Parliamentary Minister of State of the Ministry of Agriculture said in Békéscsaba.
Farkas Sándor explained at the meeting of delegates of the National Chamber of Agriculture (NAK) of Békés County that last year the performance of Hungarian agriculture was 2720 billion HUF, 38 percent more than in 2010. During this period Hungarian agricultural exports increased by 49 percent and the number of people employed in agriculture increased by 20 percent. (MTI)
