AI Night: A New Era – How AI is reshaping our lives, work and global society?
The development of AI not only brings revolutionary changes from a technological point of view, but also fundamentally reshapes our everyday life through its social and economic effects, from human decision-making to the efficiency of industries to the (re)shaping of public opinion. The aim of the AI Night event organized by Neuron Solutions was to explore the challenges and opportunities faced by companies, employees and society as a whole when using AI in an informal conversation with renowned experts and representatives of various industries.
Leading experts at the event shared their views on the social acceptance of artificial intelligence, its economic effects, and the opportunities provided by artificial intelligence. The Dr. George Tilesch (founder, PHI Institute for Augmented Intelligence; leading AI expert, EY AI Confidence), Levente Szabados (leading consultant, Neuron Solutions; associate professor, Frankfurt School of Finance and Management), and Gyula Kovács (co-founder, managing director, Neuron Solutions Kft. .) during the round table discussion with the participation of the experts, the experts also touched on the differences in global development: while in some regions, for example in Asia, they see the artificial in intelligence, until then regulatory challenges come to the fore in Europe.
Dr. According to AI consultant George Tilesch:
“While AGI (artificial general intelligence) has been floating in front of our eyes for a long time as the holy grail of technological development, in fact, the faster and wider spread of practical applications presents us with a real challenge. AI is spreading worldwide, but the extent of the opportunities and risks it presents depends on geographic and social differences. With the explosive growth of the information space and the spread of open-source systems, we are entering a new level, where issues of disinformation and control bring new challenges.”
During the conversation, the founder of the PHI Institute for Augmented Intelligence also highlighted that although the development was initially aimed at achieving general AI, it is now becoming increasingly clear that the real value lies in effective collaborative systems. Nowadays, we cannot yet speak of general artificial intelligence, but we can speak of general-purpose AI, the development of which differs from any previous technological revolution: now a huge amount of solutions are looking for problems, and not the other way around, that is, we are not only looking for unique solutions for unique problems, but solutions a wide range of tools is available to treat even undiscovered problems today.
According to Levente Szabados, the connection points between the current state of artificial intelligence and human capabilities basically determine how much we can benefit from the technology. In his opinion, the ability of artificial intelligence to perform certain tasks in an infinite amount and in a monotonous manner gives an opportunity to rethink traditional economic models.
“The adaptation of AI should lead to a new paradigm shift similar to the one caused by the spread of electricity. The transformation of economic and business models is inevitable, since the integration of AI-enabled solutions can raise productivity to a new level and expand the scope of innovation opportunities. However, this kind of innovation is often hindered by mediocrity and short-sightedness, which prevents us from exploiting the full potential of the technology.”
– emphasized the specialist.
