Ministry of Agriculture: 262 billion HUF advance was paid to the farmers until the end of November
During the almost a month and a half of the advance payment period, the Hungarian State Treasury paid about 262 billion HUF direct and rural development support to producers, and the disbursement of temporary national support began as well, Minister Nagy István said in a statement issued on Monday by the Ministry of Agriculture.
The head of the ministry drew attention to the fact that this year farmers submitted 166 thousand single applications for five million hectares of agricultural land. The rate of the advance was up to 70% for direct payments, and up to 85% for area-based rural development support, such as agri-environmental measures or conversion to organic farming. (MTI)
