The Minister of Agriculture Organic material supply of soil is essential
Nagy István, Minister of Agriculture said on Saturday in Nyíregyháza, Szabolcs-Szatmár-Bereg county that soil is a treasure that it is a “finite commodity” and will never be more of it, so any approach or technology that preserves or restores the nutrient content and fertility of the soil is very important.
He said that over the past fifty years, soil nutrient levels have not fallen by ten percent, but have fallen to ten percent, one of the possible causes of which is current livestock farming practices. (MTI)
