The Bolgheri Sassicaia 2009 of Tuscany became Italy's best red wine

According to the recently published edition of Gambero Rosso wine guide, this year’s best Italian red wine is from Tuscany, while the best white wine is bottled in Friuli.

Three hundred and ninety-nine wines were given the highest 3 glass recognition from the encyclopedia of Italian winemaking.

The more than sixty experts, invited by Gambero Rosso tasted more than 45 thousand wines, of which about twenty thousand were included to the 26th edition of the Wine Guide. (MTI)
