Tesco is also involved in the Earth Hour action
The Hungarian Tesco stores join the Earth Hour, in which on the 26th of March from 8:30 pm they reduce the lighting of their hypermarket and external for an hour and their advertisement surfaces will be completely darkened. They intends to draw attention on fight against climate change with the action.
Tesco Hungary contributes to the Earth Hour initiative, by reducing indoor lighting of the company’s stores, that have more 3,000 square meters of area, while the outdoor advertising surfaces will be darkened for this hour. According to preliminary calculations, this will result in about 1,257 kWh of electricity savings and 511 kilograms less carbon dioxide emissions – reports tozsdeforum.hu.
