Tesco has sold almost 850,000 packages of imperfect fruits and vegetables
It’s been two years since some of Tesco’s suppliers have been supplying vegetables and fruits that do not meet the aesthetic and size requirements, but they have high quality and are perfectly fit for human consumption in terms of food safety.
With the Perfectly Imperfect supply, the supermarket chain aims to shape the approach, ie to help buyers in a more conscious shopping, and suppliers to reduce the amount of produced but unsold goods. Tesco has sold almost 850,000 packages of Perfectly Imperfect Vegetables and Fruits products.
