Extreme summer did not spare mineral water turnover
According to Global Data Researcher, in the second quarter of 2019, bottled mineral water sales decreased by 7 percent to 363.8 million liters, compared the base period of the previous year, primarily due to extreme weather conditions.
But Hungary still remains among one of Europe ‘s leaders in per capita consumption. A mixed picture was developed in its summer sales of Magyarvíz Kft. as well, but in the first eight months of this year sales were 3 percent higher despite the market downturn, and sales were record high in July, making it the most successful month of the company’s 19-year operation. The company expects growth of 6 percent by the end of the year (above the average again).
