Almost without exception, employees want to see in job advertisements how much they can earn by filling a specific position, and there is a similar agreement that hiring processes are often too long and consist of too many rounds. It is particularly important for companies to pay attention to their appearance, whether it is in the media, website or social media interface, because the majority of applicants thoroughly research their future employer before applying, according to a recent, representative survey by Profession.hu.

In the current economic situation, companies open fewer new positions and operate with restrained recruitment. Many employers try to make recruitment as efficient as possible so that it does not consume too many valuable resources. The employees also think in a similar way: they like to receive confirmation at the very beginning of the hiring process that their ideas are similar to the selected company’s with regard to the most important factor for them, the salary. Almost everyone (93%) looks primarily for the salary indication in a job advertisement.

Regular feedback is important

Similar to companies, job seekers also want to rationalize the time and energy invested in the job search process in addition to financial considerations.

The survey showed that employees often feel that they do not receive enough attention in companies’ recruitment processes. There is a significant demand for regular feedback already after submitting the CV: 87% of employees indicated that they consider it important to receive at least one automatic e-mail confirmation that their application has been successfully received by the given company.

Many applicants would like a more detailed explanation than the automatic message, so that they can perform better the next time: 82% of the respondents indicated that they would be happy to receive detailed feedback from the authorities in the event that they were not hired for the given job, in their case the automatic response letter is already essential expectation. Many also highlighted that their experience is that hiring processes often consist of too many rounds – two-thirds of employees think so.
