Romania’s largest food rescue platform merges with Munch, so you can now rescue food from nearly six thousand partners
After acquiring its Czech competitor, Munch is continuing its strategy in Romania. From February, Bonapp, founded in Bucharest, will continue to operate as a subsidiary of Munch, thanks to which nearly 6,000 partners and 3.5 million people can save food in the region. With the merger, new international chains such as Domino Pizza and DM will also be among the partners.

When visions meet and value creation is the goal
Food waste is not a challenge for a single community or country. Food waste is a global problem against which we can only achieve real results together. This shared vision was the basis for the merger of Munch and Bonapp. The two food rescue platforms have similar goals: restaurants and grocery stores can stock up on high-quality leftover food at a 40-70% discount, which customers reserve online, pay for, and then pick up the package within the specified pickup time slot.
“When we acquired our Czech competitor, I knew we had chosen a good team, and it was proven, as our revenue from the Czech Republic is now almost as much as from Romania. I still believe in the team – and perhaps this is the most important thing. The Bonapp brand is already familiar to many people in Romania, and we started with partners with whom we can bring the opportunity to save food to even more people
– said Kirill Perepelica, co-founder of Munch
