The Japanese consumers are increasingly concerned about food safety problems, so the Japanese Agricultural Research Institute developed a barcode system, that allows the monitoring of agricultural products.
The technology means that fruits and vegetables will got a bar code, so that the customers can download the specific information for the product by net or by mobil phone. They not only able to look after, where the goods were grown, or which kind of pesticides was it treated, but can follow the path from producing up to the store shelves, and can also check the freshness of the product – reports szabadfold.hu.
