The most of the resources of agriculture are from the EU

After the EU accession the financing of agriculture had to placed primarily market driven, because the EU prohibits direct state intervention – said Gőgös Zoltán secretary of the Ministry of Agriculture on a professional conference in Budapest.

On the consultation organized by the Hungarian Association of Agricultural Sciences (MAE) and the Szaktudás Kiadó Zrt., Gőgös Zoltán said that; Hungarian agriculture support resources will be around 500 billion HUF next year. This amount is about double than what the sector in the country spent before joined to the EU. Now, more than 70 percent of the agri fundings comes from the EU – reports MTI.
