Halloween has long been a major retail holiday
It used to be celebrated only in the USA, but today you can find Halloween decorations almost everywhere in the world at the end of October, even in countries that did not traditionally celebrate Halloween.
The holiday, as well as the accompanying decorative elements and costumes, spread to many parts of the world largely due to the influence of American popular culture. However, a few decades ago, even in America, it was unimaginable that such large crowds would participate in the Halloween cavalcade.
A new record could be set for Halloween consumer spending in America this year. Prosper Insights & According to a joint research by Analytics and the National Retail Federation70 PERCENT OF THE POPULATION IS PREPARED TO CELEBRATE HALLOWEEN, AND THE TOTAL SPENDING COULD REACH 10.6 BILLION DOLLARS– compared to 10.1 billion last year and 8.05 billion dollars in 2020, which is a significant increase even with the effect of inflation – writes Origo in his article citing the retail presence of Halloween.
