Costa Coffee does not like the tax on disposable coffee glasses
The company says that coffee consumers were deliberately targeted with the 25 pence latte tax and questions whether plastic and paper cups can be considered disposable plastic – origo wrote after The Independent.
Britain’s largest coffee chain says there is no evidence that 25 pence environmental charges for disposable glasses are working. Costa Coffee, which sells nearly half a billion drinks a year in takeaway glasses, disputes the proposal and complains that customers will have to pay more for take-away glasses. (origo)
