The VAT cut on poultry meat to be built on the experience of the pork industry
The government expectations have been fulfilled in terms of VAT cut on pork; the impact of the lower tax rate occured in consumer prices that is why the government decided to reduce VAT on poultry meat and eggs to 5 percent – Czerván György said on Thursday in Budapest at a professional conference.
The Minister of State for the Ministry of Agriculture (FM) at this year's Poultry World Day event highlighted that 90-95 percent of the industry players are Hungarian-owned enterprises and ensuring the livelihood of 50-60 thousand people in the country. The production value of the poultry industry together with the processed products reaches 800 billion a year. (MTI)
