Eighty percent of the toursists at Balaton are Hungarian
In the first eight months of the year, nearly one million guests spent 3.4 million nights in the Lake Balaton, which is a 6.5 percent drop in traffic and a 9 percent drop in guest nights, compared to the previous year.
The Datas were presented by Rosta Sándor, President of the the Balaton Regional Tourism Commission (BRIB) on a season rating conference in Zalakaros.
Rosta Sándor, also said, that despite the decreasing stays, revenues increased by 1.3 percent, exceeding the 16.6 billion HUF at the accomodiations at Lake Balaton – reports Világgazdaság Online.
