Happy 25th Birthday Marché!
The first Marché restaurant was open in early November in 1983 in Stuttgart. Since than Marché has 79 restaurants, the concept won several international gastronomie award.
Marché International is a
subsidiary of the Mövenpick Group. Marché International
operates gastronomic facilities along highways, at airports and in
train stations. The company generated sales totaling 338 million
Swiss Francs in 2007 through theiroperations in Germany, Austria,
Norway, Switzerland and in Slovenia and currently employs a staff of
approximately 3,500.

the Marché™ concept stands for. Along with freshness,
quality and seasonality are the most important foundation pillars of
the Marché™ concept. The immediate preparation of the dishes
right in front of the waiting guest guarantees our visitors an honest
and
totally transparent view into the
origin, handling and freshness of all of regional and seasonal
products.
Marché International is not only
in Germany and Switzerland, but also currently being successfully
represented in Austria, Hungary, Slovenia, Norway and Asia. The
Marché™ concept can primarily be found at highfrequency
locations, such as along highways, in airports and in train stations
and this concept has already celebrated its 25 year anniversary
earlier this year. In the domestic market, Marché
International is currently operating a total of 37 locations. As was
consistently the case in previous years, this year Marché
International has also been bestowed numerous awards. Along with the
Hamburg Food Service Prize 2008, Marché Hirschberg was also
successful in winning a hat-trick with the highly-coveted ARCD Rest
Stop Test. The Marché rest stop at Schwechat along the highway
S1 in Austria was also awarded the ranking “very good” at the
ADAC Test 2008.
