Algae have the potential to feed 10 billion people
The cultivation of nutritious, protein-rich microalgae in land- and seawater-fed aquaculture systems can feed 10 billion people by 2050, according to new research published in the scientific journal Oceanography. Growing algae can be an environmentally sustainable solution to replace animal farming. Microalgae have high nutritional value and contain large amounts of nutrients, essential amino acids, vitamins, antioxidants and omega-3 fatty acids. //
