Expert: the gap between the lowest and the highest average earnings has reduced
The difference between the average earnings of the most and the least earning workers in Hungary decreased – the president of the Board of Trustees of the Budapest Foundation for Enterprise Development told M1 news channel on Sunday.
Szalai Piroska said that the multiplier between the top and bottom ten percent average earnings fell to 3.7 from the 4.2 – 4.6 before 2012.
This is similar in the neighboring countries: the difference between the Visegrád four (Hungary, Slovakia, Czech Republic and Poland) is 3.6 to 3.8 times the difference, while in Austria is 3.3 times – he added. (MTI)
