Harvest can start very early in the Tokaj wine region
Harvesting of the traditional grape varieties in Tokaj-Hegyalja can be started much earlier than usual, – Molnár Péter, president of the Wine Council of the Tokaj Wine Region told MTI on Tuesday.
He said that the grapes are ripening two or three weeks earlier this season compared to the average. In his view, this is due to the fact that Spring has lasted only a few weeks this year. Although the winter was longer, the weather turned very hot soon, the vines flourished in May, which is rare. (MTI)
