Analysts: retail sales growth was surprisingly slow last December

The annual growth rate of retail sales surprisingly slowed down in December last year – market analysts told MTI, commenting the data of KSH’s first estimate published today. They conclude that wage outflows are becoming less and less measurable in store sales, but rather in services.

According to the Central Statistical Office’s first estimate, retail trade turnover was 3.7 percent last December. According to the raw data, retail trade turnover increased by 4.1 percent, compared to a year before. At the same time, retail sales increased by 6.0 percent last year, according to both the raw and adjusted data. (MTI)
