Chamber of Agriculture: the Hungarian food industry supplies more than ten million people
Currently, the Hungarian food industry is serving more than ten million people, but with technological and other developments, it could provide reliable, healthy food to as many as twenty million people – the National Vice President of the National Chamber of Agriculture responsible for Food Industry told M1 news channel on Monday.
Éder Tamás said that Hungary can only enter the agricultural and food industry competition if it uses the possibilities of digitization and automation and if the cooperation of the sector workers develops.
In the last five years, labor shortages in agriculture and the food industry have become a feature of the industry, so the industry is looking for opportunities for automation, he said. (MTI)
