US retail sales increased more than expected in May
US retail sales in the United States increased more than analysts’ expectations in May. The growth occured is the highest of the past 6 months.
The US Department of Commerce announced on Thursday that the seasonally adjusted and calendar effect adjusted retail sales amounted to 502 billion USD in May, which is an increase of 0.8 percent, compared to the previous month. (MTI)
